The Synesso Baskets and Tip were received today:


The leftmost are 3 LM's 21g for comparison. On the right are 3 Synesso 21 grams, 2 18 grams and 2 14 grams:



The Synesso 21 grams baskets are slightly shorter than that of LM.



Synesso 4 holes tip is yet to be tested.

Tested the 4 hole tip yesterday. Though there were quite a number of bubbles, the foam formed was very friendly for Latte Arts.

Dear Bib,

I can't quite catch your question.
I just guess you mean how long I flush to reach the desirable brewing temperature?

I do not measure the time but just flush till the water temperature inside E61 reach my desirable temperature. (brewing temperature was measured to be 2 deg F lower than that E61).

My machine idle with E61 at 212F. When I flush, that temperature jump to over 216F. Water is jetting out (not dancing). When it became steady mean the temperature is below boiling point. How long would it takes (Flush) to reach the desirable brewing temperature varies with each machine.

As the boiler size, the set pressure and the water debit of my machine is different from yours, I don't think my measurement would be of any assistance to you.

Further, this time is being affected by environmental temperature. For last few days when morning (6am) temperature was around 8C, my machine idle at only 208F, it reached desirable brewing temperature very fast.

Therefore, I would recommend you to buy a thermocouple that could measure the dynamic water temperature. This temperature is closely related to the brewing temperature.

However, TC could only provide a reference for your brewing temperature but could not increase the steadiness of the brewing temperature of a HX machine.

Out of curiosity I randomly tried 2 of the aromas.

I could not recognize them even after looking at the description:

#12 Coffee blossom & #26 Dark chocolate.

I would rather leave them solely to my CFO.
