I use 4050, Fiema & Dark Chocolate Blend from Landy to try a few shots and found 14g at 1.8 setting will do a good , if not perfet (it actually not perfet becaust I have to pull the shot at around 20 seconds or the 4050 will stop if I grind it more fine or temp harder), cup of espresso. However, I , last Sunday, change to some home roast bean (3 days old) and use the same setting and temping, the 4050 stop without pouring any thing (a few drops after it stop for seconds). Do I need to change setting if I change the type of bean? If so, I got to try all the beans I like/love and record the settings. It gonna be a huge book. Ha Ha. |

It's normal to need different grind setting for,
1/. different beans/blend
2/. different degree of roast
3/. different degree of freshness
4/. changing different type of PF basket
5/. different dosage of coffee
6/. or even different humidity |
