Have you tried the following:
1. Fixing the tamper pressure
For this you may either use a fixed pressure tamper or just very lightly tamp
2. Use the timing method for a fixed volume of coffee extracted
Under a fixed volume, e.g. 30 cc, measure how much time it requires to reach 30 cc for a certain grinding marking/setting. Then ajust the grind setting accordingly to reach the time of 25-30 sec. |

Thanks for your advice, LittleCup
Generally I only using mokapot / french press to make my coffee, not yet can trial your opinion.
So for the reason of practice, the new espresso machine will be coming soon |
