Different opinion:
1: La Pavoni produce different espresso, before pump machine launched, all are manual, so, it is a Presso and Nespresso difference.
????????????????? ??  fold-able table for espresso machine setup including grinder ??

Lever espresso is more comfortable / smooth, I do not mean it is not as strong as pump machine, water to coffee ratio even better : double makes 1 cup.
The consistency = the barista skill. Try to have an espresso from lever machine to find the differences... find a cafe I mean...
58mm basket or from 40.0 -> 40.1 to 59.9mm tamper all depends on $, this is not an issue, RB, an ok tamper maker has stock.
but Larger and shorter basket makes more consistent espresso with same pump, for example.
Normally home pressurized basket forces to make more creama ...
So, for pump I prefer 58mm machine, but Gaggia within your budget is best buy.
For Pavoni, if you have source, vintage lever is better, no idea, get one with good price w/in your budget, I mean better espresso produced.
Ship fee is the issue for these...
if you enjoy making good espresso, I prefer lever, but pavoni no way !!
5-6k set up, Tiamo 700s + vintage lever machine.
700s: Both drip, filter, syphon, + espresso are so far good grind.
more Ideal are Eureka for espresso, 700s for filter drip... ...
Actually, not love to have espresso machine at home due to the cleaning issue...
