Sorry I need more information about this old post to replace my xp4020...

Rancilio Silvia cost $4890 (Landy shop)
Gaggia Baby cost $2888 (WingOn)

I hope the machine life can stay longer (About 4 to 5 years).
Money for me is very important but if baby can only stay with me 2 years....it means I need to pay $2888+$4890 for this 4 to 5 years... I think I will buy Silvia.

How about buy more xp4020 ?
2-3pcs xp4020 can be lasted for 4-5 years... ?? if the point is 4-5years; May be safe more money; if they or one of them have no problem in these 5 years.

All machines can be lasted life if keep clean and repair in a certain period ?

Buy a lever last longer than pump ??
Taste very good too.
Levers can be last 50years or more with good cares.

Gaggia new model Twin Baby with double boiler; not sure about the boiler material. Shell same as R_S ?? Good care and water with no problem to Gaggia boiler.
R_S, are you going to add a PID or other modification ??
If yes, of course, go for HX or double boiler.

Good quality filtered water + descale within correct timing.
All home pump machines are almost same ??
Tried a busy cafe with LM PIDed Linea;
the taste not as good as 4020 at home. So.... too many issues to make good espresso...
If after 4-5 years going for another serious upgrade.
xp4020 is the best choice ?
Save more $ to have better grinder now than upgrade the espresso machine ??
