Dear coffee fan/s,

Recently disassemble the machine for service, cleaning / maintenance since 2007. 5years Boiler as new.

Just want to share the filters setup and my machine is direct in line of water suppler /5gallon bottle w/filtered water, so no other dirt affects to the boiler.
Actually, I feel vibe pump is normal home machine, so
Rotary is the only choice when searching a machine.

Before : Very Dirty water supply * Brownish or yellowish water ->
10Micron pre-filter for whole house avg1-2month life ->
1Micron pre-filter for the further drinking filters avg6-12month life->
0.5 Carbon block heavy mental Max.6month whatever change it ! ->
***Actually it is 100% direct drinkable for normal healthy people.
HK hospital -> hot/cold drinking machine
Jockey club avoid court case only use UV and non carbon 5or10micorn only
5gallon distilled water bottle ->
Flojet bottle pump ->
Resin in 10INCH casing 1000liter life->
20PSI accumulator ->

Recently want it be simple and better:

FI: during 1980 technology 5microns carbon GAC for drinking !

If want to ask diamond water is good enough ->
make sure each of 6filters replaced every 6months. Then I can say yes, good enough here.

Good enough water +
Fresh roast good coffee beans +

Make sure MACHINE working in good condition procedure :

before turn on the machine ->
turn on the lever let FRESH water get in to the boiler about 2liter ->
do few time backflush ->
turn on the machine and use when it is ready ->
making best shots and frothing for latter art if you want ->
after each extraction ->

flush the group ->
when finished all drink making ->
flush the group and make sure it is 100% clean try to be 100%clean ->
back flush with cleaner *small amount (I am always do it 10+times)
when every flush and back flush water is 100% clear.
Turn off the machine.

***Please remind if there is anything I missing.

Every filter/s must follow the manufacturer instructions how long MUST/should change the filter cartridge !


Hope can help every espresso fans no need to do descale at all.

All other online descale method/s I tried mess me up, boiler peeling the small white pieces and never stop unless disassemble the boiler to do deep descale.

My 1st stage filter is 0.5 micron carbon block multi-media filter cartridge (Pentek CBR2-10) which can remove MTBE, VOC, lead, cysts, Cl, odor, sediment.

For second stage water filter, does Everpure ST-03 suitable for Leva 1? Can I use water galaxy 3 in 1 filter (http://wgstore.homeip.net/index.php/Product/read/id/45/l/zh-tw) to generate soft water? Is it a must to use MH-2 filter?
