Seems that the grinds might have been too fine for your setting.
Fresh coffee beans can definitely give you a whole lot more crema. Pre-ground coffee is usually meant to be stale coffee.
Since you've got an espresso machine, you may try the following items before you consider the coffee machine upgrade:
1. Try fresh coffee beans.
2. Try using a good quality grinder.
You should be able to see a huge difference if you try one of the two above. Then it's not too late to see if you need a coffee machine upgrade. |
