Hi, I have been trying hard to make good espresso base in order to make latte art. I have read a lot of comments regarding the user of krups 4020 machine. Unfortunately I don't own the machine. I am using Kenwood ES 430, brought from Fortress. Can anyone tell me whether that machine has the right parts to make good espresso base and milk foam?
Also, must I use fresh milk or is UHT milk is OK too?
Thanks

Aslong as you got a normal filter with that machine, you are good to go.
For the espresso you need fresh bean +grinder, which can provide you rich crema.
Now for the milk , UHT milk is fine.it taste bad,but still can pull a latte art. |

I haven't use this machine before, just google to look at the pic.
Espresso is not a problem for latte art - Milk is the key. I think the original steam ward will only give you thick and large bubble in milk (the small hole at the side of the ward introduce extra air into milk). You may try to see if it can be changed to a ???. _________________ http://www.ratemyrosetta.com/profile.php?id=2516 |

Hi,
Thanks for replying. For espresso, is the creama key to latte art? coz i found that the creama in my espresso is not thick. I heard somewhere that says it gotta be 80% of the volume..but mine is like 20%..
Regarding the steam wand, I can take out the outer part so that the wand should have only 1 hole at the end..would it be better for making foam? |

Hi, thanks.
I want to ask, whether it really makes a difference after changing the filter?
I ask because I was watching a TV show on coffee machines last week. The guy said that pressurized filter is used to create more pressure when extracting espresso in case the espresso machine itself has a low bar pressure. Base on this comment, would it be better to use a pressurized filter than a non-pressurized one?
Thanks.
