I know lots of reader here scanned through coffeegeek.com and knew about this but just want to put this one on record and just in case someone missed it (an unpardonable sin for coffeegeek.. )
According to coffeegeek.com, Bill Crossland, the head of US operations for La Marzocco, and the chief guy on the GS/3 project, started his own company.
His Taiwan made HX machine (picture was from April 2010 SCAA) allows temperature and pressure profiling which, unlike GS3, should come with a price tag within reach for home users and may be available in the US by the end of this year. Using Behmor as an example, the 220v version of this Crossland project should follow a year after the US debut, my guess only. The temp/pressure profiling machine is the closer one.
Pictures are from these blogs.
