I like Shing's idea.
To take it up a notch, let cup it againist freshly roasted Sumatran coffees, both generic grade and the gold top one which should be considered "el cheapo" vs. what Kopi Luwak styled asking price.
Please let me know when it will be available. |

| I wonder what the major point on Kopi Luwak... Price and story make the coffee famous!!! Is it similar to Bose sound system, great story but one can easily get the same sound/thing at about half the price? |

ii wont mind paying $200 for a cup of Kopi Luwak and tell my friends that I tried and it doesnt worth the price.

I probably will do the same thing you did if I get it in at its prime from knowledgeable seller.
I just wonder the reason this poop coffee is so famous is more on the story + price than what's in the cup...  |

I just can't afford to try something already known to be over-advertised.
If it's so much curiosity, there's an alternative from VietNam:
Vietnam's most famous coffee house and coffee producer, Trung Nguyen, produces a brand of gourmet coffee called Legendee.Which was created with the help and research of German scientists to reproduce the natural process.
I predict very soon, this artificial one will be available from Mainland China at 1/10th of present price tag  |
