I used to have one that is very similar to this one.. which is also almost the same as the starbucks barista machine..

this machine is build for people who dunno anything about coffee.. it is very easy to create a good looking espresso.. but the thing is.. I really don't like the valve on the portafilter.. it ruins the crema of the espresso. and hence the taste.

all in all this machine isn't bad.. but if you really want a good cup of espresso.. you need some modification...

btw.. is your machine comes with standard filter or pressurized filter?

nelf said almost same as "starbucks barista machine", if yes, a good news for you, you dont need to buy any portafilter or basket to replace it, i tried to remove the valve inside the portafilter, and it is no bad to brew espresso.
