I have got the copper nozzle a few days ago and have it installed. You don't need sealing tape to prevent leakage from the joint. What I do is as follows :

1) Clean the thread on the steam tube with a damp cloth after removing the original accessory.

2) Hand tight the new copper nozzle when the machine is cold. Don't over tighten it.

3) Heat up the machine and turn on the steam for a while to heat up both steam tube and nozzle.

4) With a damp cloth covering the copper nozzle to avoid direct contact of the hot metal parts, hand tighen it again. You should be able to further rotate the nozzle for about 1/8 turn. Again, don't over tighten or you will risk striping the thread of the nozzle.

5) You are done.
