I tried KONE V2.0 at Barista Jam last month
Much better than I expected... Not way underextract or gritty like my past experience with steel drip filter..
Tasting note is quite easy to get though I don't think it wow me like ABLE Disk... |

I don't understand the Chinese so I don't know what to say... It's obvious that V60 vs. KONE will be more of a paper vs. steel so the focus is typically coffee oil, ie more body and less clarity for KONE as it allows coffee oil to pass through.
The best is to try by urself at BJ... |

Again, it's the coffee oil argument.
Steel = more coffee oil, more body, more sediment/powder, less clarity
Paper = clear with no sediment but less tasty as little coffee oil can go through
Cloth = somewhere in the middle as coffee oil goes through cloth without problem. The powder goes through much less than steel so clearer and tastier cup without as much sediment as steel.
In reality, things won't be that easy as it will depend on how you brew it.... Each style has slightly different technic. Don't ask me as I'm the worst brewer of all coffees.. Try it by yourself at BJ and Fresh to see the difference. |

Thx, I have borrowed Peter's Kone and will try. I like Nel drip but the maintenance work is too much... |

Another place to have coffee >1 way is at Knockbox... IIRC, they gave u choice of one coffee three ways (3 brewing method) or 3 coffees with one brewing method for u to compare and contrast. Contact them b4 u go as the hours were not fully set in. |

Just tried the Kone, rich in favour and mild, but a bit muddy. |

??? - I grinded quite fine, so it did flow slowly as paper or Nel cloth filter, will do a bit more coarse today. |
