great idea!! looks clean too..
got some questions...
1. how to rotate the roller when you roast? do you have to open the glass door to do so? or this oven have a rotate mechanism?
2. is it hard to clear out the skin after you finish?
3. is the roller gate hard to open?

Just my 2 cents, the oven said a rotisserie oven so it should automatically rotate. Think the rotisserie chicken. |

1.As boblam had said, the oven can be used to roast chicken
there is a axis with two fork- liked parts, which supposed to hold a chicken. i just make some holes suitable for the axis and the fork- liked parts
2. do you mean cleaning out the skin from the roller?
that really takes me some time
3, for the roller's gate, it 's not convenient, and i am thinking about modifying it |

2. a hair drier will be good enough.
3. where's the original door?

but a hairdrier will blow the skin everywhere, though that's what i use to cool down the beans
as i roast the beans in the dinning area last night, i have to clean the mess up
from the first picture, you can see that there is a lock at the right end of the roller, and the door acturally is a cover |

i use my air con... but most of the silverskin is removed during roasting so i am not really sure wt happened to you.
maybe you can open the lid and pour the beans out?

i think the main problem right now is the absence of gloves
last night i take few minutes to open the cover
the cover really need to be modified
maybe i will add a gate horizontally |

water cooling might be an option in this situation..
maybe you can try spraying a little bit of water onto the surface of the roller, so the beans will cool down rapidly, and also the roller will be easier to handle.
just a little bit is ok, you don't want the skin get wet and got stuck with the beans...
one question:
Do your oven have a fan inside?

Since the holes in the roller is quite small, only little skin will be removed during the roasting process
there is no any fan inside
for spraying water, i afraid i may not be able to control the amount well
